GruntDoc

GruntDoc is my favorite medical blogger in the entire blogosphere. He brings just enough of his personal self to his blog to keep it interesting. This is an hilarious story of his experience with home flooding. You must visit his site and read the entire article. I promise you won't be disappointed.

GruntDoc: "Home flooding
Home floods suck.
Yesterday, I was getting more coffee (again, coffee saves) and the washer was making a 'funny, splashy' noise. I went to look, and the 'funny splashy' noise was water cascading out of the washer, and running across the floor. Goody.
The water was shut off, barriers were set, though I couldn't keep water from raining into the basement (damn gravity). The wet-vac again proved its worth, and if you don't have one, go get one right now, and finish reading this later. Mine holds 16 gallons, and we filled it twice, though once just from the washer tub.
Anyway, no permanent harm done, and now the floor is really dry and clean under the laundry appliances. The ceiling in the basement is drying out nicely, and the dryer ran nonstop to get the very wet clothes (wrung out) at least functionally dry.
I have a long and ugly (though amusing) personal history of household floods, one caused directly by my own negligence. Keep reading, and I'll tell you about one.

Bush Did Well on Second Debate

I thought President Bush did much better tonight than he did last week. He looked confident, was consistent and he acted Presidential. Gone was his smirks and smart ass attitude. I thought his questions were tough and slightly pro-kerry.

The last question of the night was just plain distasteful. "Mr. President tell us 3 really big mistakes you have made?" All that did was allow Kerry the opportunity to tell everyone what he thought Bush's 3 biggest mistakes were. But, even at that Bush answered well. He gained back momentum tonight.

If Kerry wins this election I believe he will have no clue as to what to do with it. I think it will cause the unstable democratic party to crash.

The Largest Hurricane Yet Getting Ready to Hit The States!

The National Weather Service has issued a warning for yet another catastropic hurricane following on the heels of Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne. The path of this hurricane Zigs and Zags and is therfore unpredictable.

Experts predict this one will cause the most damage to the United States than we have experienced in four years.

They are naming this one Hurricane Kerry.

Be advised, the only way for citizens to protect themselves is by getting behind a BUSH!
